ido vs ico

IDO stands for Initial DEX Offering, while ICO stands for Initial Coin Offering.

Both of these terms are related to fundraising methods for new cryptocurrency projects, but there are some key differences between them.

An ICO is a fundraising mechanism in which a company issues its own cryptocurrency or token and sells it to investors in exchange for another cryptocurrency, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. The goal of an ICO is to raise capital to fund the development of a new cryptocurrency project.

On the other hand, an IDO is a type of ICO that takes place on a decentralized exchange (DEX) rather than a centralized exchange. In an IDO, the token issuer releases a limited amount of tokens for sale on the DEX, which can then be purchased using other cryptocurrencies.
